Excellent service, w...

Excellent service, walked in a were immediately greeted by this lovely lady at the register. We ordered the chirashi rose and hamachi don, we were too hungry and forgot to take pictures but the presentation was perfect! Salmon and king fish were fresh and well seasoned, atmosphere was cozy, overall a very pleasant experience and a must visit if you're ever in the area.

Hands down best sush...

Hands down best sushi place I've tried in Melbourne. I work nearby and get takeaway sushi for lunch from here regularly and have done for a few years. I've noticed it get busier and busier over time, so I always try to go pre-12pm to make sure I get what I want. The fish is always super fresh and everything is just so full of flavour. I genuinely get cravings for the tuna onigiri. The staff are so friendly too. I hope it never changes!

Tamago is a petite shop run by family, mostly for takeaways. Some 20 varieties of sushi rolls and a dozen rice bowls to choose from. Tables for 10 persons are available for sit-in. To avoid crowds, come before noon. We had lunch around 12:30 yesterday, for the 30 minutes we were there, we observed a continuous flowing queue of 8 to 10 customers, patiently waiting. From their greetings with the shop owner, substantially all are old customers. The long queue was still there when we left. The food is great, raw fish is fresh, miso soup is a must. Price is reasonable. Plenty of street parking. Highly recommended.

Probably one of the best Japanese restaurants in Melb, fresh and authentic. Everything is so delicious here. I recommend the tuna nigiri as a quick snack.
