ibis Sydney Olympic Park

Location was the only thing good about it. Room had a broken fridge and almost no airflow Was informed by the staff at check in I wouldn't have to pay for parking in their garage and at checkout I was slapped with a near 300 dollar bill. Room cleaners broke my phone charger.

Conveniently located to the showgrounds. Clean and comfortable room with a hot shower. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay again.

Not bad accommodation but the parking situation is terrible. Really poorly signposted, and the charge was $46 for less than 24 hours, which I didn't realise until it was charged to my card. I should have checked, but to be honest, there was no information anywhere about the price prior to parking and committing.

The saving grace of the establishment were its people. Service was great, prompt and courteous. The location right next to the show ground was also very convenient if you are attending an event. That’s where the good bits end. Walking into the building, it’s co-located with Novotel and it’s hard to figure out where one hotel starts and the other ends. The Ibis part of the complex was through a corridor, and 2 small narrow lifts. On the first floor you come out of the lifts and suddenly there’s something that looks like a dorm room kitchenette for all to see. The room itself looked like it hasn’t been updated since the Sydney Olympics in 2000z The furniture was either broken or pushed aside hastily? There were no doors to the cupboard, and the worst thing was that there was a mound under the carpet right outside the bathroom door, which made the ground uneven and led to us tripping over a few times. The lighting was poor. The switches yellowing. Only 2 power points with no USB ports AND NONE LOCATED BY THE BEDSIDES! Lumpy cheap polyester pillows. It was not great.

Comfortable bed and clean room. Great breakfast. We had a few misunderstandings with the parking situation but that was minor. Thank you for our stay.

Stayed just 1 night to attend a sporting competition at Olympic Park. Suited our needs. Comfortable room and nice breakfast. Not enough power outlets.

Great location. Bit pricey for the room quality. Lack of PowerPoint in room make it hard to boil a jug and charge your phone. Service is a bit slow when checking in and out.

All staff were so kind to me and my boy for our one night stay. Location is perfect for those attending events in olympic park. Highly recommend

There had been a number of issues with the organisation and stay at the establishment, to briefly summarize it some key details were an infestation of cockroaches in the room, unwashed sheets, doors that would not lock between the neighbouring room and bathrooms, false fire alarm and unclear instruction for evacuation, miscommunication of booking details, poor handling of a distressed person and lack of attention prior to booking. Admittedly, the stay was not all bad and many of the staff were indeed very polite and I have a high regard of respect for those who provided excellent service. However, before arriving, I had made numerous attempts (14 thereabouts) to confirm my booking and make additional requests that, although had been stated were confirmed, I then had to re organise upon arrival and again during my stay. The first room we had been placed in had an infestation of cockroaches, I had been assured that a maintenance person would come in to assess/ remove them, hours later upon arriving we found more and needed to request moving rooms entirely, that night we had been forced to leave the premises due to a fire alarm, turned false alarm. The attendant on the P.A system was not very helpful with instruction and instead was causing more distress due to it. All of the staff present were wonderful to speak with and handled the situation with discretion. Following this event I needed to reconfirm an extended stay a number of times, and despite being assured that the staff would be made clear of this, my partner was nearly evicted from the grounds causing much distress. When I later arrived back to the hotel to clear everything, I was refused entry to my room to console my partner until payment were to be taken for a service yet to been seen, eventually this matter had been resolved. Following the last day of our stay, we were provided with no charge for parking, which was very generous and I appreciate, I would like to note that the manager on duty was by far the best representative of the establishment

My first day I was there I had a cleaning person walk into my room while I was half asleep. I asked reception if I could get a do not disturb sign for my room it never came. Showers are small and no luxury’s in the room. I was very surprised considering the star rating the hotel has
